Paddle Battle

Sunday, August 11th, 2019 11:30 – 3:30 pm. Race at 12:30pm 

Paddle Battle is The Nonantum Resort’s annual Kennebunk River race for kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, surfboards and any non-motorized vessels. Drawing both competitive and recreational paddlers, plus a kids’ fun race, the event is an awesome afternoon out on the water. Crazy Costume and Crazy Craft competitions are new to this event! Enjoy live music and family activities on the resort’s back lawn. Report to the registration table between 11:30 – 12 and you’ll find out where to drop in! Named a top Summer Fun event by Sports Illustrated Kids’ magazine! During the event you can enjoy a full pool bar menu of food and drinks at Latitudes. There will also be a number of prizes given out at the end of the day!  A portion of the proceeds go to the Kennebunkport Volunteer Fire Department’s Water Safety Division.  They are going to be on hand with their vessels making sure we are all safe on the Kennebunk River during the race!

Load-in your equipment, then please park off-site at the Consolidated School and call our shuttle at 207-391-9689 for pickup. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING AT THE NONANTUM.

Parking
Sunday is *off-site* at Consolidated School. Feel free to drop your stuff on The Nonantum’s back lawn but then you need to head off-site to the lot. The resort’s 14-passenger shuttle will be running continuously to/from between 11-5pm.  This moves fast and you won’t be left waiting long for the shuttle.

Life Jackets
PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE!
PFDs are required “1 per person” during the race. For SUPs, please have a belt PFD or vest PFD either on yourself or taped/ velcroed to the board.

  • Registration on site is at 11:30
  • The Paddle Battle Race is at 12:30PM
  • Food & Beverages will be served starting at 11AM (not included in ticket price).
  • Awards at 2PM
