The Nonantum is located right on the Kennebunk River offering lovely waterfront views, and the only hotel property with its own light house. The Nonantum is the place to call home as you enjoy food fresh from the farm and the sea, boat tours, fishing, sailing, scenic strolls, bike and kayak outings, or just sitting by the pool watching the lobster boats and picnic yachts idle by. Our family owned-resort is Where Traditions Begin. Open seasonally, mid-April to mid-December. The Carriage House Inn takes you back to the Victorian era and gives that quintessential coastal Maine Inn feel, while the Portside Lodge is more contemporary and decorated to celebrate the nautical culture of Kennebunkport lodging. All of this in an ideal location allowing you to take a short walk down scenic Ocean Avenue to the shops, restaurants and art galleries of Dock Square in one direction and in the other direction are the beaches. If you would rather not walk or drive, the resort offers a complimentary local shuttle to avoid any parking issues in town.
History and Meaning
Since 1883 The Nonantum has adapted to the times to meet the needs of our guests – while at the same time retaining the history and essence of the original inn. Celebrating our 135th Year in 2018.
