maine seaside getaway
OffMetro NYC – “If you’re looking for a timeless waterfront resort, the Nonantum is a low-key winner. It has been owned and operated by the same family for generations, so expect top-notch service and genuine familiarity. It’s the kind of place where guests gather around the fire circle for a nightly snack of s’mores after a friendly game of beanbag toss or a twilight dip in the heated pool. Morning yoga on the lawn offers salty inhales along with an inspiring ocean view. Children’s activities, such as arts and crafts and crabbing, hark back to a time when life was just a tad simpler…” Read More

“Our room in the Portside Lodge was a corner room looking out over the Kennebunk River. I could have stayed there all night just enjoying the cross breeze, cuddled up, reading a good book on the soft, comfy, duvet covered bed, filled with so many pillows. The room’s nautical decor was simple, but perfect.” See Photos & Read More

romantic new england
“The word ‘Nonantum’ comes from the Native American Algonquin word for ‘blessing’ which is what you’ll be counting during every surreal moment of your stay! The resort’s customer service is top notch and you can tell that it’s a priority to the owners, the Ginn family. The staff is ample and extraordinary, each member was full of personality and eager to please. They were truly knowledgeable about the area, as only a local can be, recommending special off the beaten path places not to miss.
We loved enjoying our coffee every morning, rocking on the front porch, sipping cocktails at Heckman’s pub and taking them out to the back lawn to relax in the Adirondack chairs by the river. We soaked up the charm of the lighthouse and boats sailing by and started to plan our return visit…” Read More

fire & ice 2015!
MaineToday – “Fire and Ice is a party with a little of everything–a bonfire in the center of a property sprinkled with welcoming campfires, ice-cold cocktails poured through ice sculptures, heavy appetizers from local vendors, and a merry dance band that got everyone moving enough to make it feel rather sauna-like in the dance hall. And new this year: a fire-breathing act (don’t try this at home). Fire and Ice raised $5,000 each for the Education Foundation of the Kennebunks and Arundel and Make-A-Wish Maine.” View the Photo Gallery

‘Our weekend in Kennebunkport was almost presidential’
The Examiner – August 2015 – “We checked into the Nonantum Resort… overlooking the Kennebunk River. From there it’s a gorgeous two-mile walk or drive along the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean to the Bush compound. From the Nonantum’s dock, you can take kayaks out on the river, or join a lobsterman for an hour or so as he hauls in his traps from the Rugosa, a classic New England wooden lobster boat. We opted to join Captain Nick for a two-hour sail on the awesome “Downeast” 38-foot ketch “Pineapple,” as we knew he would take us out on the ocean for a sea view of the (Bush) compound, which he did. On the way back to the Nonantum he also took us a little further up the river to show us the famous motorboat that the First Families use on the water, along with the two Secret Service boats that always follow it.” Read the full article

TV Diner is noted for reviewing restaurants for NECN, New England Cable News, and giving them a culinary critic’s rating of Silver, Gold or Platinum. The Nonantum Resort received the highest Platinum Plate rating, a result of an incognito visit to the restaurant earlier this summer.

The show featuring 95 Ocean aired on NECN in July, with video of 95 Ocean and the Nonantum Resort Dining Room overlooking the Kennebunk River. Host Billy Costa said, “The Dining Room of 95 Ocean has a bright ambiance, a sea shore theme and large picture windows offering gorgeous views of the water.”
Among the numerous menu items sampled for the TV Diner Show were Chef True’s Signature Blueberry Chipotle BBQ Ribs, and the Lobster Stuffed Avocado. Costa said “Maine lobster never looked prettier or tasted better.”

Costa described the Key Lime Pie as a “tantalizing tandem,” and the Blueberry Crumb Pie as “sweet perfection.”
Costa said in his TV Diner recommendation, “95 Ocean gives resort guests and the general public artfully presented dishes in a quiet, elegant atmosphere with wonderful service. 95 Ocean earns the Platinum Plate.”
Executive Chef Steve True said he is very proud that The Nonantum received the top honor bestowed by the TV Diner Show. “We work hard to create interesting and appetizing menu items, to be recognized by such a well-respected and recognized TV show is exciting.”
